About

“When people are taught in a language they can understand, fear and ignorance give way to the light of the Word.”
- Cameron Townsend, Founder, Wycliffe Bible Translators
Compassion World Outreach is a Christian education organization.
In partnership with indigenous pastors, CWO provides training for church planters, pastors and local leaders in their own country and in their own language.
How Do We Accomplish Our Mission?
Over 550 students graduated in 2025. Each student at the start of the first course is given a study Bible in their native language along with the curriculum. Then, utilizing study materials from the Bible Training Center for Pastors, students complete a two year theological curriculum.

A Message from CWO Staff
Compassion World Outreach (CWO) works in partnerships around the world to reach
men and women, boys and girls, for Christ. We believe that well trained indigenous
pastors and church leaders can effectively evangelize and disciple their communities. In partnership with The Bible Training Center for Pastors, Fountain of Life Churches,
African Leadership, and Crossing Cultures International, CWO provides funding and
direction in the training of these pastors and church leaders. Please join us as partners in this incredible endeavor.
Glenn Steen, CWO President
